Arts Council Northeast and the City of Hurst are pleased to welcome David Carr, Jr. for a concert on January 23, 2014, at the Hurst Public Library from 7-8 p.m.
David Carr, Jr. has pursued his passion as a saxophonist since he was 12 years old. He writes, records, produces and masters all of his soulful music in his own studio. His distinctive sound is a refreshing blend of contemporary jazz combined with Funk/R&B flair. Coupled with his provocative stage presence and innovative stylings, David's smooth and rhythmic sound has been compared with such legendary greats as Grover Washington, Jr. and David Sanborn.
Through the MasterWorks Series, Arts Council Northeast and the City of Hurst present free performances on selected evenings throughout the year. The MasterWorks Series is designed to offer a variety of quality family entertainment to the community by utilizing the talent of local, regional and national artists.
