The MetroTex Association of REALTORS® today released Hurst homes sales figures for the month of May. MetroTex President Steve Habgood announced Hurst’s near-record volume of sales.

“The market in Hurst on is extremely active,” said Habgood. “While overall the number of available homes is low on any given day, homes that do appear on market tend to sell very quickly. There were 70 sold homes and 64 pending sales in Hurst last month.”

“We definitely recommend consumers develop a good relationship with their REALTOR® to help them navigate such an active market like Hurst is experiencing,” said Habgood.

Other highlights include of the MetroTex report include:

• The average sales price in Hurst is $195,672, an increase of 14% over last year.
• Average sales price is 101% of list price when listed with a REALTOR®
• The number of available homes on the market in May 2015 was 64, compared to 77 in May 2014.
• The average price per square foot in Hurst increased from $88 in May 2014 to $100 in May 2015. 

“We predict Hurst will continue to be part of one of the most active markets in the country,” said Habgood. “In Hurst, homes listed with REALTORS® are selling in 19 days on average.
