Golfers Invited to Texas Star to Support L.D. Bell Band

Registration is open but closing soon, for the annual Blue Raider Band Golf Classic, presented by Italiannis and Abuelos, Saturday, March 30, at Texas Star Golf Course.

Golf and music lovers will play a scramble format, teeing off to a master of ceremonies and pep-band, enjoying a live drummer on a second hole, seeking closest-to-pin, longest drive and more prize opportunities on others. Hole #18 features Mitch Dobbyn, with 7 World Long Drive Championship appearances, striking teams’ tee shots.

The cost is $99 per player for range balls, green fees, cart, GPS and prize-entry. Participants will also receive lunch catered by Abuelo’s of Hurst, following the round. Online signup can be done at www.ldbellband.org/brbgc 

The day starts with an optional putting-contest at 8:40am, with a Yamaha Sound System presented to the winner, followed by the four-player scramble at 9:00am and live auction and awards ceremony at approximately 2:00pm. Prizes will be awarded to sixteen players in two flights, putting contest champion, longest drive and closest to the pin. Prizes and auction items range from golf equipment and accessories to sports tickets, pro-audio musical components, gift cards from merchants and more.

Texas Star Golf Course is a renowned, world class track conveniently located in Euless, at the heart of the bustling DFW Metroplex. This challenging course has been ranked in Texas’ Top 10 by Golf Digest, Golfweek, the Dallas Morning News and T&L Golf.

The L.D. Bell Band has a strong reputation of success and community representation. Approximately one in six students at L.D. Bell High School are members of the band.

All funds raised at this event go towards instruction and operational costs for students in the band. Charitable donations and auction-able items are also accepted.
